Show the current mAirList title on OnAirScreen

mAirList can control OnAirScreen natively via Logging (HTTP GET or UDP). The NOW footer line accepts NOW:TEXT.

ON AIR LED from the mixer: Drive LED1 from mAirList GPI.

API reference: OnAirScreen API / UDP / HTTP / MQTT
Community (LEDs and scripts): Ansteuerung des OnAirScreen

Channel Target (default) Example
UDP Port 3310 NOW:Artist - Title
HTTP Port 8010 http://<oas-ip>:8010/?cmd=NOW:Artist%20-%20Title

Optionally the same for the second footer line: NEXT:…. Maximum 500 characters.

On Windows (mAirList runs on Windows) test with oas_send.exe from the OnAirScreen licence:

oas_send.exe --ip 192.168.23.5 "NOW:Artist - Title"

If OnAirScreen runs on the same PC, use 127.0.0.1.

Configuration → Logging → Add → HTTP GET (Home Studio and up). HTTP GET logging is the same dialog used for website playlists.

Field Value
Base URL http://<onairscreen-ip>:8010/
Parameter Name cmd, value NOW:%a - %b
On start on
Item Types Music only (uncheck jingles, ads, …)

mAirList URL-encodes parameter values. Logging variables: %a = artist, %b = title.

A second HTTP GET interface for the upcoming title:

Field Value
Base URL http://<onairscreen-ip>:8010/
Parameter Name cmd, value NEXT:%+a - %+b

%+a / %+b are the next playlist item. Default lookahead is 3 items; raise NextLoggingLimit in mAirList.ini if many non-music items sit between songs.

Firewall: TCP 8010.

Configuration → Logging → Add → UDP (TCPRemote module; not in every edition).

  • Host: OnAirScreen IP (or 127.0.0.1)
  • Port: 3310
  • Message: NOW:%a - %b

No HTTP encoding. Firewall: UDP 3310. Do not use TCP logging — OnAirScreen has no TCP command port.

  • Replace IPs after 10s and WARN behave as on the other playout howtos (WARN hides NOW/NEXT).
  • Scripts plus Swiss File Knife UDP (community thread) work for LEDs; Logging is the right tool for the title.
